Our names are Frank & Catrina and we started running an amateur adult website about 3 years ago and have really learned allot that might be helpful to anyone thinking about starting one or just starting. First of all your really gonna have to decide to be dedicated to running a site, which takes allot of your time. If your thinking it’s all horny fun and that’s it, think again.

Yes, being a sexual person or couple is a must no doubt. Here’s some things your going to want to consider.

1.) Do you have any knowledge in building a website at all?
2.) Do you have any knowledge in marketing online?
3.) If your married or in a relationship, do you have your partners support?
4.) How much are you willing to spend per month on hosting a site and marketing?
5.) Are you going to make your own content or buy it?
6.) Do you have high speed internet and a good computer?

Here’s just a few of what I’d call the main things you need to think about before deciding to start, answering no to any of these questions may make it hard to succeed in this business, but not impossible if your willing to learn.

Now that you’ve decided to go forward and start a site your gonna need to think up a real good domain name for your site, you can type in “domain names” in any search engine and you’ll get sites that will allow you to type in your ideas and see if those domain names are available.

Once you have a domain name you’ll need a hosting company for your site, there are free ones out there but I recommend a paid one, you can get one for as little as 9.95 a month to start and it’s well worth it.

Some hosting companies offer free easy to use software that allows you to build your site on their software, this makes it so you don’t need to go buy website building software such as front page or dream weaver.

Now building the site is gonna be up to you but, keep in mind with a new domain name and site that no one has ever been to, getting traffic is going to be the most important. So I recommend building a free site at first with as much content as possible like, gallery links, video links ect. that you can easily get for free by signing up for affiliate programs. Affiliate programs is when you basically use other sites content, galleries and banners on your site and when a surfer goes to that site and spends money you get a % of it. This way your offering a free site with lots of free pics, videos ect. and surfers like Free, they then go to a site thats already set up to “sell”

Also you don’t have to set up an online payment processor or set up a secure area of your site. It’s fast, easy and affiliates pay very good for your efforts. Usually a site might need to get clicked on 200-300 times before someone buys and you make a cent. We didnt make anything off an affiliate for months and got very discouraged, but hang in there you’ll get there.

Ok, now for the hard part, you have to get people to goto your site. Traffic, traffic, traffic, where do I start. this is gonna be the hardest part of your new venture. The first place your gonna want to start is joining as many “top lists” as possible. Just type in adult top lists and you’ll see a page with a list of banners or links to sites. You display the link to the site and the more people you send there the higher on the page your banner or link gets.

Then go to “link dumb” sites where you simply submit your site for free. Also submit your site to search engines, usually it take many weeks for the site to finally get into search engines so you’ll want to do this as fast as possible.

Now here’s the big one you can put some effert into, goto other adult websites and usually there is a link that says “contact me” or something like that with their email. Email as many sites as possible requests a link exchange or traffic trade. This is where you post a link to their site and they do the same.

Keeping upto date by reading adult webmaster forums is very helpful as well. There are tons of articles, threads with answers to every question you can think of. Doing everything to run a site will take a ton of time and if your doing alone it’s going to be hard, allot of amateur sites usually feature a good looking gorl or sometimes not so good looking, lol… But it’s like a couple thing where the wife is the feature of the site and does the fun stuff, posing, cam shows and chating. The husband takes the pictures, videos and does the other things like marketing, web design and traffic trade emails. As you can see one person doing all this will be hard.
