Link Dumps by Thomas Byers
April 23rd, 2007 under Interesting Articles. [ Comments: none ]

And why they don’t work for everyone. I see people post some
of the lamest titles ever to link dumps when the link dump title
is your most important thing. The title is your one chance to get people
to click and come to your site. But you must get the surfers attention
in some way to get them to click and come to your site. If they don’t
click they are not coming to your site.

Why would some one use a title that says None or Look or something like that.
Your not going to trick them into coming to your site people. Use titles with
some shock value.

Hot Blondie Riding A 12 Inch Dick

She Has A Gallon Of Cum On Her

Sloppy Seconds With A Nasty Pussy

All those will get clicks.

One of the greatest salesmen / showmen of all time was PT Barum. He used
all kinds of things to get people into his circus side shows. And you need to
think the same way. How can you get the porn surfer visiting the link dumps
to click and come to your site.

Are You Taking Full Advantage Of Link Dumps

What I am talking about here is link dumps that have a refer list that
you can get on. Like on the left hand side of http://adult-matrix.net/.
If you can get your site into the top 10 on that list you can get some great
traffic back in return. Here again the name of your site is important. Your
site will get a ton more clicks from referrer lists on link dumps if its name
looks interesting to the link dump surfer.

Another thing a lot of people are missing is the fact that the time of
day you submit to the link dumps is very important. To get clicks from people
in the USA it is best to submit from 7 am - 8 am or 7 pm - 8 pm. You will
get more clicks from your submits during those times than any other time.

So what have we learned.

1. Your title is very important. Pick it out carefully
2. Use Shock Value in your titles. Get the clicks
3. Use the referrer lists on link dumps to get more clicks to your site.
4. The time of day of your submits is important

And bottom line you need something interesting to get them to click and
come to your site. Surfers love free daily movies and with a lot of sponsors
offering embeddable movies now you can give them exactly what they want. And
make some good money at the same time.

Landing Page Quick Reference Guide , by: Michael Cordova
April 23rd, 2007 under Interesting Articles. [ Comments: none ]

A landing page is a website page that is created for one purpose - to persuade the site visitor to convert into a customer by making a sale, completing a form (thereby becoming a qualified lead), signing up for a newsletter, etc.

We provide this landing page quick reference so you can pull it out every time you are creating a persuasive landing page. It is divided into 4 sections and is intended to be an all-inclusive tip sheet.

Most importantly, consider that you have 8 seconds or less to convince your visitor to act. If you haven’t convincingly made your case in this time then your visitor will move on and will be lost, as the Internet has created the most fickle customer in sales history.

Page Layout

- Place your logo at the top left. Visitors expect it there so display your branding where it counts.

- If the visitor came from a search engine keyword search or a PPC ad then place the keyword terms in bold at the top of the page. This reinforces to the visitor that they came to the right place.

- Always keep the Golden Triangle in mind. It is the most important and scanned part of the page. It is the area of the page that starts at the top left of the page moves to the top right side of the page then down diagonally to the bottom left of the page just above the fold. The fold is the area of a web page that the visitor sees without scrolling vertically. You should never force a visitor to scroll horizontally. This means that your landing pages should be able to be seen completely on an 800 x 600 screen resolution. Place your UVP in the middle of the Golden Triangle.

- Contrast your Calls to Action with respect to the rest of the page - use contrasting colors, round vs. rectangular, straight vs. slanted, warm color vs. cold color, big vs. little. Make sure you can spot the Call to Action from 6 feet away.

- Place assurances, testimonials and guarantees in the far-right column

- Place logos to appropriate associations or online companies at the bottom of the page to show credibility - Verisign, BBB Online Reliability, certified by…, Alexa rank (if good), powerseller, live support, credit cards supported, open 24 hours a day, Hacker Safe, as seen in Entrepreneur Magazine, Chamber of Commerce, etc.

- Don’t place external links on a landing page. Just allow them the option to proceed into completing the form and converting into a customer.

- Place privacy policies on the landing page. This instills confidence.

- Think of the Amazon.com website. Note their Call to Action is the hotspot at the top-right of all pages - add to cart, one click ordering, etc. This may also apply to you

Writing Style and Content

- Spend time on your Unique Value Proposition (UVP) and place it into the center of the Golden Triangle. A UVP is the core differentiation of a company’s product or service from those of competitors. A complete UVP will describe the market and a company’s competitors and the key difference between competitors and your own company.

- Ensure that you don’t have big paragraphs. Visitors tend to scan pages instead of reading all of the text on them.

- Write using headers above paragraphs that summarize the following text.

- Use bullets where possible as visitors can quickly scan them. Search engines also prioritize bullets instead of long paragraph text.

- If you want to add a picture ensure that it is going to reinforce your message. You can easily lose significant sales by having the wrong picture on the landing page.

- If the purpose of the landing page is to provide a white paper or article then create an image for the paper with enlarged text like the one below and place it on the page:

The Form

- Keep the number of fields on the form as small as possible. This is critical in getting them to complete the form.

- Add a Comments textbox asking for the visitor’s input. It can be key to qualifying leads. Those that complete this form with the services they are looking for should be contacted immediately. Here are some requests you can use for this Comments box:

- What is biggest problem that you need to solve now?

- What is the purpose of your project?

- Please list your goals for this project.

- How can we help you?

- In case the visitor doesn’t complete the Comments textbox on the first page, add a 2nd page with only a Comments textbox on it requesting the visitors comments again. Tell them that if they complete the Comments box now then they will receive an extra free white paper that is relevant to the same visitor. These visitor comments are important.

- Have the visitor check a box that says something like “YES! Send me the free white paper that will change my life.” It is the psychological method of coercing them into completing the rest of the form.

- Prominently list the benefits of completing the form. It is a major validation. Make sure to write the benefits in terms of the users benefits instead of the features of your product or service.

- Ensure you save the form information into a database and send emails out as soon as the form is completed so you can immediately contact the visitor. The lead’s effectiveness drops dramatically as time goes by. Contacting a lead within minutes is ideal.

Landing Page Mistakes to Avoid

- Graphics or text unrelated to the offer - limit copy to only the point of the landing page

- Long forms with unneeded fields - limit your form to what is absolutely essential

- Difficult to read fonts

- Navigation off of the landing page

- Placing important persuasive copy below the fold

Texas Adult Shop Owners Make Local Campaign Donation
April 23rd, 2007 under Interesting Articles. [ Comments: none ]

image hosted by ImageVenue.com

DALLAS — A City Council candidate who is working to keep an adult bookstore from opening in the city’s Red Bird area has accepted a $3,000 campaign donation from the store’s three owners.

District 8 candidate Tennell Atkins has organized a group of investors interested in purchasing the storefront that would have been home to a New Fine Arts adult video store, owned by Paul Radnitz, Gary Hartstein and William E. Becker. Despite this, each of the three owners sent $1,000 — the maximum amount allowed — to Atkins’ campaign.

Atkins insists he had no idea they contributed funds, and that he has never spoken to them about donating money. He refuses, however, to admit whether he will keep the money or return it, and it is unclear what New Fine Arts’ owners’ motivations were for donating.

Radnitz did not respond to interview requests at press time.

Atkins also assures that the contributions have not affected his action to keep New Fine Arts out of the city.

“If I was running for political office, if I was not running for political office, I would take that stand,” Atkins said. “My main priority was to get some investors together to buy the building.”

Atkins said he will continue to fight to keep sexually oriented businesses out of his district “as long as I can help it.”

Many adult webmasters have been rejoicing lately over ICANN’s latest (and supposedly “final”) rejection of ICM’s .XXX TLD proposal. While this is natural and understandable, I’m always cautious about counting the other guy out.

Indeed, ICM President Stuart Lawley said on the day of the defeat “We are extremely disappointed by the Board’s action today. It is not supportable for any of the reasons articulated by the Board, ignores the rules ICANN itself adopted for the RFP, and makes a mockery of ICANN’s By-Laws prohibition of unjustifiable discriminatory treatment. Not least to protect the integrity of the ICANN process, ICM Registry will pursue this matter energetically.”

Rather than dwell on the subject of .XXX, however, I only use it here as a recent example of how a determined entity will continually resurface, morphing into different shapes in hopes of finally accomplishing its desired goals.

But what I’m on about today is Acacia – remember them? Well, they’re back, and you’ll love this one…

It seems that Acacia’s Disc Link Corp. subsidiary has licensed Sage Software’s patents covering “portable storage devices with links technology.” Yep, if you publish CDs or DVDs that feature links to the Internet, such as to your online catalog, then you’ll likely be hearing from Acacia very shortly.

“So what, CDs and DVDs are on the way out!” you say? Sure enough, but the future – including the future of adult – is a landscape marked by a never-ending series of new and innovative “portable storage devices” that will undoubtedly contain “links technology.”

The upshot for some of you is a re-visitation of your business and marketing plans so that you can add an additional line-item to your budget for “links technology licensing.”

Like I said, if it isn’t one thing, it’s another

Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization: Any difference?
April 23rd, 2007 under Interesting Articles. [ Comments: none ]

by: Mikhail Tuknov

For many casual internet users, the terms SEM and SEO rarely enter their minds when they are busy jumping from one website to another. However, it is these terms that determine much of what comes out on the results page whenever we type in a word in the search tab of any accessible search engine. These terms are also responsible for all those advertisements and pop-ups that link us to even more websites, whether they may be connected to our original search or not. So just what are SEM and SEO?

In the simplest way possible, SEM and SEO are tools which website creators, especially those who are promoting and selling a certain service or product, use in order to gain a lot of exposure and better ranking for their website. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, the simplicity ends there.

To make it a tad bit complex, SEM and SEO are not the same. As suggested by the names, SEM, or Search Engine Marketing, deals more with how a website is marketed to gain exposure in the different search engines available on the internet, while SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, deals with how the web creators develop and re-develop the content, quality and structure of their entire websites so that whenever an internet user types in a particular word in the search tab, their websites have a better chance of appearing on the first few search engine results pages (SERPS).

Now, to make it even more complex, although the functions of SEM and SEO seem different, they are more effective when used together. Since the main function of SEM is to gain more exposure for a website, the more common means for attraction are online advertisements, blogs, internet articles, partner and sponsored websites, and anything that can catch the eye of the internet user. SEM also makes use of PPC (pay-per-click) and paid inclusion to further push a website’s visibility. Lastly, it is also an important process in SEM to submit the name and URL of a website to different search engines and web directories if only to inform them of the website’s existence. All this is carried out to ensure the popularity of a website.

So how does SEO come together with SEM? Well, despite having all the advertisements provided by SEM, it is truly the SEO that allows the internet user to easily and conveniently find what he is looking for. Since the function of SEO is to gain a better ranking in the SERPS, the web creator has to constantly optimize his website in order to cater to the needs of the internet user and to make it easier for spiders or web crawlers to judge whether the website’s content is relevant to the word/s being searched. Optimization is not a simple and easy task. It involves having to restructure the website regularly (by editing the html code and meta tags, changing content, reorganizing the site map, developing an easier navigational structure, etc.) so as to adapt to the rapidly changing demands of the internet user. Still, when done properly, not only does SEO help a website become more useful and therefore, more often visited by the internet user, it also helps gain more exposure since it increases the website’s chances of gaining a better rank in the SERPS.

Both SEM and SEO success rely heavily on the words or context which Internet users type in whenever they search for something on the internet. Take PPC under SEM, for example. PPC is an ad that is triggered by a particular word or context used by an internet user. Once a particular word or context is searched, a corresponding PPC ad for a website comes out. SEO works in the same way. The web creator inputs a particular Meta tag (or keyword) in his html that he believes many internet users will use when searching for information, information which the web creator’s website may contain.

Although all of these processes involving SEM and SEO are tedious and time-consuming, it all boils down to knowing and serving the target audience. A web creator must be discerning enough to know what the internet users need and want, and at the same time he must have the real passion to inform and provide the internet users with the right service and product.

Blogging , There is no Silver Bullet
April 23rd, 2007 under Interesting Articles. [ Comments: none ]

Where is it going next. Everyday hundreds of new Blogs both mainstream
and adult are started. Many are started and just as quickly abandoned because
when you get right down to it blogging is hard. Especially if you expect to
make money.

I see a lot of people start blogging and they just give up after a few days
to a few weeks. A blog especially a adult blog will not be at its peak until
it is 5-7 months old. And one Blog is not going to make you rich. Not over night
and not even in a year or two. But you can make some good money if you make
regular updates to your blog and work on back links for it. As you gain experience
you can add more blogs until you have your own Blog empire. At that point you
can make some really serious money. But its not going to be easy.

You need to set you up a regular schedule and you need to stick to it every
day no matter what. Every day at the same time set down at your computer and write.
Once you get into the habit it will become easier and easier. Proof read your posts
and if your not certain about your spelling use a spell check program to check
your work.

It has been my own experience that text links are out performing banners on blogs
greatly. If your doing adult your not writing for your college newspaper. Your writing
text to get people to click your links and visit your sponsors. Get dirty. Get Joe
Porn Surfer all hot and bothered so he will click your link or links and visit your
sponsor.

I see people all the time write blog posts where you know that the person doing the
writing knows nothing about what they are writing. Why would you do this in todays
world I have no ideal. Google is your friend. No matter what you want to know about
Google probably has information about it. In case your living under a rock or lost
completely Google can be found at http://google.com. Another great source to use for
research is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. They are a wealth of information.
You will also want to check out the below sites if you are doing research to learn
how to write for your niche or for story or post ideals.

Obscure Sexual Terms http://www.nitz.net/sex.html

The Sex Dictionary http://www.thesexdictionary.com/

Dictionary of Sexual Terms and Expressions http://www.sex-lexis.com/

By using those resources you can at least sound like you know what your talking
about whether you do or not. Which is very important especially if you get real
niche specific and you really should consider doing so because that is where the real
money is.

Another trick I use is curiosity. You know the old saying. Curiosity killed the
cat. Well people are the same. Make them curious and they will click away. How do
you do that you ask. Well I’ll tell you. Say your writing a post on your blog about
blow jobs. And in that post you have the words blow job and blow jobs. Make those two
words clickable as links and link them to the best blow job movie galleries your
sponsor has. Will people click those two words. You better believe it and when they
see the nice blow job movie galleries you just picked out you have them well on their
way to making a purchase from your sponsor and making you happy.Remember when ever
possible have all your links open in new windows so your site is still there open
on their computer and in case they don’t like what they find you have another bite at
them.

If you do use banners on your blogs always use text links under them and think up
your titles carefully with something that is going to get clicks. Click Here just doesn’t
cut it. You want their attention and you want them to click that link.

Now to sum it all up. While its true there is no silver bullet there are lots of tricks
like the ones in this article that you can use to sell your sponsors products easier and
after all thats what we are all after is the dollars.
