[ # ] Interview with Meat From Netpond
February 26th, 2007 under Interviews

Here’s a short but very interesting interview done with one of the
Netpond Owners Meat.
image hosted by ImageVenue.com
In it he covers some of the most
interesting facing the adult industry today and gives us
some other great information.

1. How did Netpond get started?

Netpond was originnaly named Condom (coalition of new dynamite orgasm makers)
and started becuase the only board at the time (YNOT) was a closed shop for
getting advice or help to get started, and was like the wild west with
newbies being the targets of choice. I decided to start a newbie friendly
forum and with the assitance of some very helpful people who responded
to my invitation to join me in condom it just grew like wildfire.

2. What do you think might be the next big thing for the porn industry?

The next massive thing is IPTV its hot, its going to be a goldmine
and create many new revenue streams and change how alot of porn
companies do business, it will do to internet and tv what skype
and the like are doing to telecoms cuureently, disruptive technology at its finest.

3. If you were just starting out today as a new adult webmaster what
do you think would be your biggest challenge?

Same as it always has been, how to get traffic, even
more difficult now as every main traffic hub seems to have a complete
seperate set of rules with hardly anything being standardised. Biggest
challnge would be learning about search engines and trying to develop
an independant traffic source to feed the growth of my new porn empire

4. What do you think will be the future of TGP’s?

Adapt and continue I guess, traffic is king in this game and anything
that generates traffic will need govt regulation to kill.

5. Where do you see the adult industry in 5 years

Tough to say really, think it will depend on U.S. govt policy and if they
go after porn like they are going after gambling currently, but I been in
game for 15 years and skys been falling every year since so unless something
massive happens in form of clampdown I prob see it continue to grow but with
less major players.

6. What one thing do you think might effect the porn industry as a whole in 2007

The major thing I belive is going to come from the hard approach to virtual
payment processors like neteller etc with the laundering issues, as the
industry loses these forms of commerce for dealing with affilaites and such
its going to make the game alot tougher for alot of companies and webmasters
who rely on these payment methods, will be interesting to see how Epass will
go over the next month or two.

7. Can you point out the best thread you ever saw posted at Netpond ?

It was my thread welcoming everyone to condom, it was about 30 message board
scripts ago and could only be found with the wayback machine now lol

8. Whats the one thing you think adult webmasters could or should do to improve conversions.

Learn about your target audience, if your targeting niches or gay markets don’t
try and sell to them how you think they should be marketed, go to a community board
and learn how they market themselves, learn the launguage and technicques from
the people your trying to sell to.

9. Can you tell us what you think about the ,XXX issue and how you think it will
effect everyone.

WHOs pushing it? What are there REAL motives for pushing it and WHY are they pushing
it..It could be a disastor for the industry, I dont see any positives for it only
negatives but see a few people filling there pockets with it whilst setting the path
of destruction.

10. Is their a question I didn’t ask you would like here and a answer for it please.

Whats my favorite sponsor program? Cash Uncovered of course lol
